Principal's Weekly Message- February 23, 2024

Special Message from Principal Andrews:

As we continue into the month of February, it is important that we take the time to honor Black History Month, and specifically the contributions of the Black community to our country. While we are honoring this month of celebration in our classrooms, here are other resources that the district has set up for you to continue the conversation at home with your student: https://www.djusd.net/departments/climate_services/multicultural_resources.

I also wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that this message is coming late in the month and has been a missed opportunity to get information out to our community in a timely manner. For that lack of communication and taking time to acknowledge the importance of this month, I apologize. We continue to strive to work towards our social justice mission as a school.
