Principal's Weekly Message- October 20, 2023

Special Message from Principal Andrews:

Thursday morning, I took a nasty fall at home. Unfortunately, I broke my foot AND my hand (what can I say, I’m an overachiever). As I await my referral to a specialist, I will be taking the next week off to rest and recover. Retired DJUSD Principal Jim Knight will be on site to support during my absence. If you need to get a hold of Mr. Knight, please call the office. Our wonderful TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment), Amanda Allen, will also be assisting during my absence. You can email her at [email protected].

Campus Updates & Reminders:

The busy fall ahead continues! Don’t forget that our annual Spooktacular is next Friday. Costumes are encouraged as students can participate in trick or treating before our community movie in the quad. Please remember that costumes should not contain blood and gore and any weapons must be removed from the costumes.

Parent teacher conferences will be taking place the week of November 13th. All 1st through 6th graders will be dismissed at 12:10 that week. We will offer lunch beginning at 12:10 until 12:30 for any students wishing to eat a school lunch. TK and Kindergarten will operate on their normal schedule. More information about conference week and how to sign up for a meeting with your child’s teacher will be sent out soon.
